Q1. If Rs. 996 is divided among A, B, C, such that four times A's share is equal to 5 times B's share which is equal to 7 times C's share. Then what is C's share ?

Answer : Rs. 240

4 times A's share = 5 times B's share = 7 times C's share
[ Dividing each by the LCM of 4 , 5 and 7 i.e. 140 ]
Then,
(A's share/35) = (B's share/28) = (C's share/20)
∴ A : B : C = 35 : 28 : 20

∴ Share of C = [20/(35+28+20)] × 996 = Rs. 240
