The Sports Ministry has de-recognised the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), citing a violation of the National Sports Code in the body's decision to sack President Rao Inderjit Singh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the National Animal Disease Control Program in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, inauguration/foundation stone of development projects for the state of 1059 crores was also done. PM Modi also launched the National Animal Prevention, Countrywide Artificial Insemination and Hygiene service program at the Livestock Health Fair held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay University of Veterinary Sciences and Go Research Center.

The government has appointed PK Mishra as the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the appointment of Dr. PK Mishra, who was currently serving as the additional Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. He replaces Nripendra Misra, who stepped down last month as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.
